Funding Sources
The Mustard Seed Foundation awards grants to churches which meet these criteria:
"Churches that are in the toughest inner
city neighborhoods of: the inner city boroughs of NYC; inner city Chicago
and Washington DC; Los Angeles County; Miami/Dade County; Vancouver;
Toronto; Detroit; Philadelphia/Camden; SF/Oakland; Houston; and Montreal.
We will only be looking to partner with congregations with a parish
mentality, that are ministering to the homeless, gangs, mentally ill,
refugees, prostitutes, and addicts in obedience to scripture, in their own
specific neighborhoods. We will be looking to partner with multi-ethnic
local churches that are led by indigenous minority leadership."

The International Mission Board (IMB) has a site dedicated to Church Planting Movements, which includes online resources and books for sale.
The Urban Ministry Institute equips leadership for the urban church, especially among the poor.
Mis-Links offers thousands of mission-related links, including this excellent resource list for church planting.
Church Planting Village is an excellent online resource, offering articles in English, Spanish, Korean, French, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Russian, Vietnamese and Portuguese.
The site also offers information on how to work effectively with various immigrant groups.
NextChurch.org is a church-planting site which lists useful On-line Church Planting Resources.

 The Church Multiplication Training Center has trained planters and leaders in some 90 denominations or ministry agencies, offering training in English and Spanish, as well as training focused on the special needs of urban churches.
