About Tape Ministries NW Twenty-four years ago, a women's Bible study in the Seattle area volunteered to record Christian books on audio tape to help a blind friend who complained that she wasn't able to find Christian books on tape at the public library. In the years since then, volunteers at Tape Ministries NW have recorded 1,000 books, which have been loaned by mail to thousands of blind and disabled individuals nationwide. All their services, including mailing the books, are free of charge for qualified patrons of the library.
